  After care instructions included referral to OHSU Spine Center for a broken leg. But wait, there's more...because they didn't follow my insurance provider's instructions, even the incorrect referral to the Spine center was never received !!! MD couldn't decide if I should be allowed weight bearing on the broken leg or not and then sent me away to wait for the clinic to call me. Because of the aforementioned screw ups, there never would have been a call and I could have waited for months without follow up care had I not taken this into my own hands ! Incredibly INCOMPETENT, disorganized and unable to perform simple medical care safely and accurately as a team, but 2 or 3 individuals were able think independently (Sue in x-ray, Janet in transport). Their forte seems to be minor cuts, scrapes, runny noses and minimal first aid for sunburns and mosquito bites. Broken bones are beyond them. Review will not allow less than one star or else I would give them a zero. With only one runny nosed kid ahead of me, it took 4 hours to finally get a splint and be told that since the Oregon Health plan does not cover crutches, I would need to go to a pharmacy and rent them !!! I can't wait to see the bill, but for the comic tragedy and entertaining stupidity I endured I doubt it will be less than $1,000. Buyer Beware. PS. There is a huge difference between the Spine Center and Trauma/Fracture Clinic...only one treats broken legs...and it isn't the one I was allegedly referred to. I am very embarrassed to be a member of the healthcare profession with colleagues like these.
